The Marketing Assistant Summer Position will be instrumental in building relationships with local merchants and creating marketing materials that communicates local services and values to a broad audience.  This role requires collaboration with multiple businesses, and Watrous Marketing Group Community Enhancement Director (CED) - Jeff Siegfried.

There is a interesting spectrum of activity that includes, but won't be limited to:

Exposure to Quickbooks, Canva, Google Docs, Mail Chimp and other software

Engaging in merchant visits with the CED

Work on Meta platforms (Facebook and Instagram)

Event planning and participation

Indoor and outdoor work (photography/videography)

This is a fantastic opportunity for you to become comfortable in a variety of tasks while learning to plan your own projects and estimate timelines for completion.  Work will be balanced between independence and supported.

The position is partially supported by the Canada Summer Youth Employment Program so the employer is committed to a structured management plan with goals, mentoring and follow-up.  The Program requires that the applicant be 30 years old or younger.  See CED for details.
