Executive Director
The Mid-Sask Municipal Alliance (MSMA) is a Committed and Effective Regional Collaboration of municipalities, dedicated to serving the needs of business to support further development and enhance its limitless potential.
The MSMA is seeking an experienced and dynamic individual to join our organization as Executive Director. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the management and administration of a collective of municipalities in rural east-central Saskatchewan. Your primary objective will be to provide strategic leadership, operational guidance, and effective governance to ensure the efficient delivery of services in support of the sustainable development and overall well-being of the communities.
Responsibilities:
● Develop and implement a strategic vision for the municipal collective, in collaboration with elected officials, stakeholders and community members.
● Provide guidance and direction to municipal staff, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration and innovation.
● Support and advise elected officials in setting policies, priorities, and goals that align with community needs and aspirations.
● Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, and bylaws.
● Oversee the development and implementation of effective governance practices.
● Foster collaboration and cooperation among urban and rural municipalities, encouraging shared services, joint initiatives, and resource pooling.
Knowledge and Competencies:
● Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in public administration, business management, or a minimum of 10 (ten) years’ experience in a related field.
● Designation as a Certified Economic Developer (EcD) would be an asset.
● Significant experience in a leadership or managerial role, preferably in municipal or regional government.
● Strong knowledge of municipal governance, legislation, and regulations, particularly in Saskatchewan.

Salary Range: 80,000 – 120,000 Yearly
